Today, 72 years ago thousands of Allied soldiers, sailors and airmen unlocked the door of freedom on and over the beaches of Normandy. As the clock on my desk approaches noon, I pause to remember the cost of freedom paid that day.

Members with 'Researcher' status can now access three new collections of documents in the 'Green Room Library' as follows:

• Allied Bunker and Fortification Intelligence Notes
• German Coastal Artillery Batteries 1944
• WWII British Air Ministry Report on Airfields, Landing Grounds, Seaplane Bases in North & West France 1944

These collections have been kindly donated by member Wojtek.
