Hello experts, I have a mystery to solve and I hope someone can help.

The photo is of Troop A of the 24th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron. I always assumed that it was taken at Singleton, West Sussex, where the squadron was activated in December 1943.
They are from relatives of squadron members and often have no captions. I've seen some great geolocation work on this forum and wondered if I could interest anyone in using their skills on some of the photographs I have.

The squadron passed mostly from Utah Beach (replacements also came into Le Havre) through France and Belgium and into Germany, so the photographs could be from nowhere near...
Having inserted the single search term 'sea', the search engine came up with a number of photos but one in particular caught my eye. It shows the forward two thirds of what I take to be a heavy cruiser underway, supposedly off the Aberdeenshire coast in the North Sea:...

I guess this is one that Niels might find interesting, or able to help out.
Attached is a photo of a Tiger 1. I think it must have been taken in the wide Arras area, France. Probably in the sector Amiens-Cambrai-Rijsel and the coast area.
Hope there is more information about this knocked out tank.
