Can anybody access the Kenny I. Knotts Collection on the U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center site? I get the following error message: The web server is not configured to handle requests for the virtual host named cdm16635.contentdm.oclc.org Regards, Neil.
Hi Neil, I can't find access to it either anymore... Did they do a page redesign or something? Was there a specific photo you were looking for? John
The website looks very different. I like looking both albums from time to time. It's just full of great info and detail.
If anyone can find a way to pull up the Kenny knotts albums, I would sure be interested in knowing how. It seems that these albums have been buried somewhere. I have tried recently with no success. Charles
I got a 403 Forbiden Related to this ? Our subscription resources are restricted to current USAWC students, faculty, and staff. Licensing agreements prevent the U.S. Army War College Library from providing articles or access to our databases to those outside our institution. I asked them why.
On Feb. 6 I submitted a question to USAWC regarding the Knotts albums. They responded that it may take up to 60 days for them to give me an answer. I don't think anything good will come of this inquiry. Charles
The reply that I received was the following: The Kenny I. Knotts Photograph Collection is a part of the USAHEC photograph holdings. Presently the USAHEC is closed to researchers under the constraints imposed by the National Emergency. If you desire to visit and review the collections please contact us once the situation has evolved into a more open access. Let me know if you have further questions. V/R RichB Not a great deal of help! Any idea as to just what the "National Emergency" is? Charles
Charles, I would assume the coronavirus, but I thought you asked them your question long before that happened... I think all you can do is reply back and ask them specifically if they will be computer accessable like they were in the past. John
Yes John, I would think that my inquiry would have been well before the Corona mess. Anyway, I will get back to them again and see if there are any hopes of being able to access the Knotts albums via computer in the future, and how far into the future. Charles
I just tried to get some kind of registration going with these folks and they don't seem to be to excited about have "non-affiliated" members.
