Hi Folks, I have found a couple of links to this French produced DVD which appears to be a collection of colour film shot in Normandy during the Invasion. The DVD is titled 'Normandie 1944, Films en Couleurs ou Inédits'. Here is one link I found: http://www.ville-cherbourg.fr/themes/culture/actualites/article/70e-normandie-1944-films-en/ Does anyone know if this DVD is published yet and if so, where I might purchase a copy? Thanks, Pat
It does sound intriguing. I wonder how much footage is on the DVD? Can anyone contact the person in charge or leave a message on the site?
Hi Dale, From looking at the back of the DVD cover, it looks to include at least some, if not all, of 'News of the Day' correspondent Jack Lieb's colour film which he shot before, during and after the Normandy Invasion. Because of that alone, I would be anxious to acquire a copy of this DVD. Here is the DVD cover on Michel Le Querrec's Flickr site: ..and what appears to be a French local TV feature on the DVD here. Still can't find it for sale though...does anyone know if it's published yet? Regards, Pat
Hello there, Bank holiday today but I'm going shopping tomorrow so will, have a look for it. Cheers, Sean
