    Hi All,

Kevin in NCAP has sent me the link below to a press release announcing:

'National Archives Announces Digitization Partnership with the National Collection of Aerial Photography'

Hopefully this will lead to additional reconnaissance cover currently held in the American National Archives becoming available through the NCAP site.

Kevin states 'We are in the process of agreeing the first 5-year programme of digitisation with them, and imagery of D-Day and Normandy operations will be high on that list.'

    Great news :D

    Pat

Having been through the National Archives in College Park looking for recon photos I can say they have very little to add to NCAP. There were very few photos and most of them were grossly overexposed or duplicates of NCAP. They are also not clearly labeled or well organized.

Sorry to reduce your flames of hope to embers.

    Hi Dale,

There is always a chance they will find a dust covered box down in the basement now that there is formal scanning arrangement with NCAP.

We'll keep those embers glowing in the meantime :D

    Regards,

    Pat
