Hello everyone! Thank you for inviting me to the forum here (John Szweda!). My name is Yuri Beckers, and I am a 35 year old Dutch guy. I currently live in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since 2002 I have been doing research to the Battle of the Hurtgen Forest and the penetration of the Siegfried Line battles in that area. I became fascinated by the actions of the US 9th Infantry Division, and since 2006 I am researching this unit, and writing a book about their involvement in the Hurtgen Forest battles. I also have a website: www.9thinfantrydivision.net. Although my main interest are the battles in this German area, I also have a huge interest in their actions in Normandy and find any research related to the areas they have fought in and units they have fought with, very interesting.
