Hello, some time ago, in a thread regarding a horsa crash at the hospice wall in St. Mere Eglise, this photo was posted: It was credited as a find on the internet, but would anyone by chance have a source for this photo? I've searched with no success. I know a close-up of the photo is in P Esvelin's book, Forgotten Wings. Thank you, joan
Yes... Its reproduced on page 170 of 'Airborne Combat' by James E. Mrazek (Stackpole Military History Series). The caption reads: "A Horsa which crashed into a wall near Sainte Mere Eglise, killing two of its passengers" Regards, Pat
Pat, And if I remember correctly, that photo might be the one displayed at the Airborne Museum in Ste. Mere Eglise? I know there is one of that glider crash there (or at least there was about 20 years ago!). As I will not be able to join the group trip this summer, if you happen to go to the museum maybe you can confirm? thank you for all your help and help from this forum. joan
