A 45 minute film of Canadian Spitfire Wings from 1943 – 1945 - http://www.nfb.ca/film/wasp_wings - plenty of flying sequences, but more importantly, for me at least, very extensive coverage of the ground echelon, their vehicles and other equipment. It starts off in the UK showing the mobile wings in operation, and then, after Italy, it covers the invasion and Normandy, before going to Belgium, Holland and Germany. Outside the remit of this forum, but interesting anyway - in Brussels, a ceremony just after liberation – also one of the Wings transport echelon arriving at B.90 Petit Brogel. Enjoy Allan
Thanks Allan, Don't worry too much about your posts being off topic for Normandy. I have no problem with posts related to the broader ETO of WWII. Thanks for posting, Pat
