Attachment Fle Size Limit

    I am new here. I tried to submit a post earlier today and got a message that it was too long. Seems like I have read a few that are a lot longer than what I had typed. Anyway, what is the maximum length for a post?

    Did your post include any attachment files whose size exceeded the limits set in the table below?

    If so, let me have the details and I will increase the allowable size for that file type.

    Yes, Pat, the attachment was a glider landing chart, a JPEG file of 1039 KB. Whatever the simplest was to handle this I will go along with.

    The best thing to do is to e-mail it to Pat at his above link...
    Next time he is online I am sure he will be happy to re-size the image and post it on your behalf. He is often more than willing to help out.

    As John suggests, if you send me the jpg file attached to an email, I will down size it in Photoshop, upload it to my web sever and send you the link to insert it into your thread. See example code below:

    If there is detail in the file which would be degraded or made unreadable by down sizing, you can still insert a link to the full size file on my web server thus:

    Note the two different tags used - to insert image into your thread and [url] to insert a url address. Take care to close both tags by means of the forward slash.
