    Hi All,

It might be useful if we compiled a list of glider crew (pilot/co-pilot) for men who were captured after landing and who subsequently escaped.

The number is probably small but for each one, there should be an Escape & Evasion Report in the NARA archives. These reports are, as far as I know, in addition to the normal Missing Air Crew Reports and might contain useful information not filed in the MACRs.

    Regards,

    Pat

Here are US guys (I assume you only want US guys not British) that I have identified at Rennes Hospital. I haven't looked for their E&Es at NARA yet.

    1LT O/370984 Bolan, Richard V.
    F/O T/122010 Kuller, Floyd K.
2LT T/759039 Reed, E. B. (might be an aircraft pilot)

    Thanks Dale,

We'll include any British glider crew in a separate list for the relevant Forum section.

Full instructions for searching the NARA archives for E&E Reports are given on the WWII Netherlands Escape Lines site on this page.

I cannot access this site from work, so if anyone wants to try Dale's three names, work away and see what turns up.

    Regards,

    Pat
