Okay I am not a glider expert but here are the shots I got from NARA last week and you can put them into whichever glider post is best. I think some may be duplicates of ones in threads but some look different. Any fuzziness in the photo is my fault. If you want to order a better shot from NARA let me know which one and I will give you the info. I also got some glider shots from Southern France if you want to see them. Hi Dale, We very much appreciate you taking the time to photograph these excellent master prints for us. I have down sized and numbered them for future use on the Forum. We have confirmed the locations for the following: No.s 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 16. 13 and 16 are both from DZ/LZ 'N' in the British Airborne section; all the others, AFAIK, are from the Cotentin. In relation to No. 13, I would wonder if the extract below, showing the Horsa with its nose just on the road margin... ...might possibly be a match for this ground shot showing British Airborne men digging in: There seems to be some kind of excavation visible on the aerial as indicated by the yellow arrow. I would wonder if it is the foxhole which is being dug in the ground shot :dodgy: BTW, this aerial is from the same American sortie which Hans is working on at the moment - ACIU_US7GR_1730, frame 4051.
