Hi Damien, Your English puts my French to shame You are indeed very welcome to the Forum. This is great; we now have police officers from two jurisdictions to oversee the smooth running of the Forum Do you know Philippe Esvelin by any chance? I am sure you have his glider books in your library. Is there any other French works on the invasion you would recommend, preferably but not necessarily, available in English language editions? I really enjoyed reading "My Longest Night" by Genevieve Duboscq and "Roads Without Birds - Memories of Normandy, 1944" compiled by James A. Huston. I would really like to read more French civilian accounts like this - can you recommend any? Thanks Damien. Regards, Pat
