Hello everyone...my name is Brian Domitrovich and I am located right outside Pittsburgh, PA. My uncle Stephen Domitrovich is one of the last living survivors of the Malmedy Massacre and hearing his stories growing up got me interested in studying ww2. I came in contact with Paul Woodadge in 2009 when my wife and I travelled to Normandy for the first time and since then was there in 2011 and we are headed back in May of this year. My wife and I had the honor of being neighbors with Joe Lesniewski (E/506)when we lived in Erie, PA and also lived within blocks of Ed Joint (E/506), Ed Bernat (E/506), Spencer Wurst (F/505) and Chet Harrington (A/505). I called it living in airborne row up there. I am at a point now where instead of just reading the stories, I have come to now want to "investigate" them for myself which brings me to this site. I always enjoyed Pat's posts back on Paul's boards because of the detail. I look foward to some great conversation here. -Brian
Hi Brian, Welcome to the forum. I envy you your neighbourhood with such a fellowship of great men at your doorstep. Your uncle must also be a great inspiration to you; would it be possible to post his account of the Malmedy Massacre at some point here on the forum? Don’t worry about the Normandy theme here; we have been as far south as Naples at one point in time. Working on the Otis Sampson Horsa demolition incident and should have it together later this weekend. Regards, Pat
