I consider myself mainly an airborne researcher, with a specific focus on Edson Raff, though my writings are diverse. Raff was the commander of the "Raff Force" a small contingent of seaborne relief troops for the 82nd ABD. It was composed of tanks, armored cars and glider troops (from Company C, 746th Tank Battalion; the 1st Platoon, Troop B, 4th Cavalry Squadron; and elements company F, 3d Battalion [originally 2d Battalion, 401st Glider Infantry], 325th Glider Infantry). Paul Woodadge was able to guide me to La Fiere, where Raff's troops encountered their first resistance and laggered the night of the 6th. I blog my research at http://habap.wordpress.com and help run seminars/commemorations for Operation Dragoon and the Colmar Pocket. My specialization for those events is the 36th Infantry Division (the "T-Patchers", Texas Army National Guard)
