...and at lower left in the adjoining field: The only C-47 crash site we speak of on the open forum; that of 42-92868, carrying elements of 1st Battalion, 508th PIR and piloted by 1st Lt William Roycroft on 6th June. We only speak of it because the site is now safely under the Hôtel le Sainte Mère :exclamation: The field hospital may be 'site 3' on the 307th Airborne Medical Company sketch map below... ...although if such is the case, the map above shows it on the wrong side of the N13.
